Prospect Park West Apartment Renovation

After purchasing this high floor pre-war apartment for their young family, the clients asked to transforming a bachelor’s black gloss kitchen and dining room into a light-filled center of family meals. A high angled island and a long bar counter were traded for a family friendly banquette and peninsula. Calm off-white painted finishes replaced mirrored black cabinets and tile. A quiet elegance now extends from the kitchen to the open family dining area with stellar part and city views. A new double-sided electric fireplace brings a warm focus to both that dining room and large living room that face it from either side.
