MDA designgroup provided Library Planning and Schematic Design services for the Law School for their planned move to a new campus in Central Islip, NY. The location and size of the library’s footprint was provided by The Baldassano Group, architects for the campus design and the library construction documents. Services included program analysis, a detailed program, and the design of the library to meet the cutting-edge vision of the Touro Law School. The process included confirmation of the program a, a detailed layout for all 4 levels of the 48,000 library, selection of interior finishes, and development of strategies for the creation of a technology-rich 21st century academic library environment.
